In the evening of November 18th, 2017 YangAsha Cultural Week, themed as “gather at the hot spring town·enchanted by YangAsha” is opened. The officials of the government and guests are all here to attend the opening ceremony.

Artistic performance in the opening ceremony open with Miao’s water drum dance-original ecological ethnic dance. Thousands of people came to attend this magnificent and cultural-oriented opening ceremony with famous musics and performance by artists like Jiang Dawei, bringing a hearty cultural feast.
This Jianhe YangAsha Cultural Week lasts for 3 days, during which YangAsha Lighting Show, thousands people’s water drum dance, craftsmen imparting intangible cultural heritage, National folk athletics and others cultural events are held.
“Water drum dance” is one of the most spectacular folk dance with 600 years history, only found in Jianhe county. It is a traditional dance and Local Miao people dance in water. In old times, Miao people danced for offering sacrifices to ancestors, praying for good harvest and the peacefulness of the village and later, the dance is delivered to today.
Visitors pay a visit to QingJiang Lake and enjoy YangAsha Lighting Show which is another charming view. In the river bank, Miao people sing their folk songs and welcome guests from all the the world. YangAsha sculpture exposed to the lights, seems like bringing people into the love story of a thousand years ago.
“Craftsmen imparting intangible cultural heritage”, craftsmen of the Jianhe county intangible cultural heritage project present their unique technique, compete with each other their skills, telling their heritage, displaying Jianhe ethnic cultural charm.
Immersing on Miao’s holy water to ease the tiredness and feel its hot spring culture. Its daily water flow is 1800 tons and yearly water temperature is 38℃-50℃.
YangAsha Cultural Week is held one time each year, a cultural feast in Jianhe county. YangAsha culture originates from a popular and beautiful myth. Legendarily, YangAsha is a beautiful girl from Qingshui. Her beauty fascinates the moon and the sun, her songs fascinates all the living creatures, and her kindness is loved and respected by all people. The love between her and the moon moves thousands of Miao people and is passed on time after time for thousand years. YangAsha culture stands for Miao people’s praise of love and praise of life.
